Bowls Club Greens

We recently undertook the end of season renovation work at Great Gransden Bowls and Croquet Club.

This process involved:

• Heavily scarifying in 2 different directions to remove the thatch (organic debris) from just below the surface.
• Hollow Tine Aeration to relieve compaction and aid stronger root development
• Overseeding with a quality seed
• Top Dressing with a sandy loam
• Drag matted into the green
• Applying a slow-release organic fertiliser to aid recovery

This work will prepare your green for the new season next year.

We have recently invested in brand new machinery to aid the spreading of the top dressing which will make a huge difference to the roll of the woods next year.
