Your lawn may be suffering due to thatch hiding beneath the surface of your soil. Typical builders turf is grown using fescue grass as it makes rolling and transporting it easier. However, fescue grass has a tendency to grow stolons (overground) and rhizomes (underground). These hold water and starve your grass’ roots of nutrients, oxygen and water. So we offer a service whereby we scarify the thatch from beneath the surface and remove any dead grass and moss. We then aerate, reseed with perennial rye grass (less likely to suffer from thatch in the future) and top dress your lawn. Then after your help to water the new seeds, in 4-5 weeks your new, healthy green, lush lawn will grow through.
